@BlueVeins That was the general consensus of my HS class: intense and depressing.
In 9th grade. Scary, isn't it? Did you have to read White Fang or The Call of the Wild by Jack London? Classics, I reread them now and then.
@SW-User Are they true to the book. Ik White Fang isn't
SW-User
@DropTopDig No, not as much as I'd like them to be. The books are better, I think.
@SW-User They always are, especially Stephen King.

Yes, I did it
Not long ago, to be honest. I have the book on the shelf

I read part of it. It was boring.

Parts of it.
Also, I've seen the movie.

Yes, we had to read it for science class in HS. Why science class and not English, though, I couldn't tell you.

@SW-User Interesting. Maybe they were "teaching across the curriculum."
SW-User
As I recall, the teacher said the reason had something to do with wanting us to learn the effects of technology on society.
ProfessorPlum77 · 70-79, MVIP
@SW-User That would make sense.
Pinkstarburst · 51-55, F
Yes. Around fourth grade then in high school.
ProfessorPlum77 · 70-79, MVIP
@Pinkstarburst Very impressive!!!
Pinkstarburst · 51-55, F
@ProfessorPlum77 Meh. I was just a bookworm.
@Pinkstarburst I am too, always have been.

Required reading in high school. As it should be.
