“liberal” is a term from the McCarthy era that ronald reagan popularized in 1980. I would consider it among the living dead of political terms!

It sure seems that way, as if being a liberal is even a terrible thing to begin with. It's not though 🤷🏾‍♂️.

I don’t mind being called that at all. I mean, it isn’t an insult if it’s true.

I do like that the people who tend to use it most publicly seem to be so far right that "vaguely progressive people who ultimately support the status quo, and at most expect band-aid solution to deep seated issues on a case by case basis while doing nothing to support any sort of actual progressivism beyond empty lip service" is considered a grievous insult.

I've been called far worse, that's a compliment.
