I was once in fast food restaurant which was in a building that used to be an Arthur Treacher's Fish and Chips. There was a large family in front of me with coupons for Arthur Treachers, and they were insisting that the restaurant honor them, even though the restaurant did not even sell fish! The father kept pointing out the address on the coupon, and therefore angrily concluding that they were entitled to that food! Patiently, the poor guy behind the counter was trying to explain that the building housed a different restaurant now. The family finally left, but they looked unconvinced.
That very first one reminds me of a time when my dumbass aunt and her equally dumb friend went into a place that had been a thrift store before when it was actually someone else's house! They hadn't been in that store in 10 years and over that time, it became someone's home. 🤦♀️
