I Don't Get Along With My Mom

I have a long and rocky history with my narcissistic mom.

She said something today that just made my blood boil. Recently she had some swelling in her legs, so she went to the doctor this morning to get it checked. She texted to me, "This whole thing has shown me that it's time for me to slow down. I have to step back and let you kids take of yourselves from now on."

Excuse me, WHAT???

I have been taking care of myself (and her other child!) since I was 12 years old! I've never asked her for a damned thing, and even if I would have, I know good and well she wouldn't have given it. I moved out at 18 when SHE kicked me out, and I never went back and have not depended on her for anything since. I can't believe she had the audacity to say what she said, as though she has had any active role in helping me with ANYTHING in my life. She's delusional.

Different generation ,different way of seeing the world, not disagreeing just saying you turned out ok regardless, but the negative energy you carry around because of it, is taking away from your success.............ive been on line a few years i cant ever really remember anyone like yourself who is so open and free with information about herself .......im not sure what i think about that cheers apple x

@DearAmbellina2113 if only it was that easy . im kiddin I know there are people out there who should nt be allowed to breed ,let alone have kids. but when its left a scar its a shame and sin . i did nt mean make light im sorry any kids hAve to go through that kind of trauma xx

My mom told me when I was 12 there was nothing else she could do for me ... I was old enough. And I felt the same way then . She never did shit before but use me to collect money and set me up to be abused.
