Treat people the way you want to be treated (or would want to be treated if you were in their shoes).
Do I always follow this? No. But do I believe in it as a fundamental ideal? Yes.

@Nanori @Tython @MiserableAtBest And I like to think I am principled enough that I wouldn't want people to prop me up with endless respect if I am hurting them. I don't want to hurt people, and I don't want to be given respect for doing so, knowingly or not.
