Mmmm,don't rush it. Finding out all the information is important. Maybe some countries will only require a covid test done in YOUR country and then again in THEIR country upon your arrival
Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
@Shell For all you know your contract of employment; housing rental agreement; conditions for health insurance coverage are being re-written as we speak !
That's why you need to think seriously and come to a conclusion quickly.
Shell · 31-35, F
@Picklebobble2 I'm not saying not think at all about getting the vaccine. My own personal conclusion would be to not get the vaccine until absolutely necessary. And of course continue to take all precautions of not getting the virus.
If he does not have the virus and all that was necessary to travel to another country was taking the covid test, then why get the vaccine?
Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
@Shell Because you’re unlikely to be given permission to enter another country unless you can show you’ve had a vaccine.

Ferric67 · M
Just for the record, I have not been sick in any way in over 23 years.

@SW-User cheers

ShadowDancer · 41-45, M
I saw this, and decided I'll never get one.

curiosi · 61-69, F
@ShadowDancer This is what I have suspected!
curiosi · 61-69, F
I'll cancel any travel plans before I let them inject that poison into me.
Eddiesolds · 61-69, M
@curiosi me too
Ferric67 · M
@curiosi There are those in government who want control over what they force on people. Power and control is their objective and will employ any who will support their objectives-that includes the media, big Pharm and big tech and the “experts”. Be leery!
Keepitsimple · 51-55, F
I’ve had my 5G chip installed
Ferric67 · M
And that's only the start
@Ferric67 What about George Gilder? Do you follow him?
Ferric67 · M
@quitwhendone I don't, thanks for the recommendation. I don't follow anyone really. I have a small circle of acquaintances that are economist. They suggest things and I look into them. If it makes sense, I proceed. What I have found, making sense isn't always the given recipe for successful stocks. Stocks also need wall street's confidence. There's an old saying that I always find myself circling back to, "it's better to be lucky than good". I had a handful of stocks in my portfolio for years that did nothing. So, last year (almost to the day), I started to sell them off so I can reallocate my funds. Long story short, one of the stocks that I had a strong position in has since tripled (Snapchat). Another went from a couple of dollars to well over one hundred (novamax). I had a couple of others too, but I won't bore you with specifics. I had each for quite some time without any reward. I sell them and watch them from afar gain what I had expected all along. This past year has taught me patience like none other.
SW-User
Yes got the second one last Wednesday.

Don't listen to the hype about it being dangerous, we're being controlled by the government and other bs.

Get it, wear a mask and be safe!
Midnightoker1 · 61-69, M
@SW-User You too.
Ferric67 · M
@Midnightoker1 like I told a poster earlier, someone very close to me two weeks ago died out of the blue shortly after getting a vaccination shot. Could be completely coincidental, either way it really happened.
Midnightoker1 · 61-69, M
@Ferric67 I think it's been linked to at least 17 deaths in the UK probably more but you can't find the truth and when you do it gets taken down... one of my family is linked to a doctor she knows very very well I won't go into detail but he was told get with the programme about it being safe and no questioning anything about anything, just get on board or your out..That is why not many doctors are not speaking out and the ones who do get labelled conspiracy theorists.. it's all BS.
Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
Had the first AstraZenica second week of March.
June the predicted date for the booster.

I live with an elderly person who hasn't gone out in a year.
My work depends on being able to meet clients and others.
I haven't seen my family in nearly fourteen months, so if all i have to do is get a shot, i'm getting a shot !
Midnightoker1 · 61-69, M
Lining up to be injected with a vaccine that's barely been tested, and for a disease with a greater than 99% survival rate?

@SW-User No Facebook fact checked..Just facts..look it up yourself....
Elessar · 26-30, M
They're still vaccinating the 80+ over here, just started with the 75+.

By the time they'll start with my age group we will all be immune from exposure.
Ferric67 · M
@Picklebobble2 the coroner's report won't be ready for two months
Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
@Ferric67 What's going to take 8 weeks ??
Either you have a cause of death or you don't.
Unless there are others ahead in the queue
Ferric67 · M
@Picklebobble2 I don't know what their issue is, I am assuming that toxicology reports and such takes time on their end to tie together. The hospital she went to is enormous.
MrAboo · 36-40, M
I don’t intend to get the vaccine. I hear it’s only good for three months. There’s no point in getting it.
Trippy · F
If..when.. What I do know is that when I do, it will be "right now" when it happens. I worry not about the future.
Elessar · 26-30, M
@Trippy Yeah, same here. It sucks living like an automaton that wakes up everyday only to go to work, with no goals or plans, on the other hand.
Trippy · F
@Elessar Life happens right now indeed ❤️
Crazywaterspring · 61-69, M
Just get the shots. You'll feel like crap the day afterwards.
I will be getting my vaccine when it is my turn.
walabby · 61-69, M
I'll be getting done when it's my turn...
DunningKruger · 61-69, M
Yes, I have been vaccinated.

Get vaccinated.
Snuffy1957 · 61-69, M
Not getting it not ever NO way
SinlessOnslaught · 26-30, M
I have an irrational fear of having rare reactions to medical procedures lol. It's held me back from many treatments, including the vaccine.
SinlessOnslaught · 26-30, M
@walabby Intubed for a ventilator?
walabby · 61-69, M
@SinlessOnslaught Some Covid patients hospitalized end up on ventilators. It can't be a very pleasant experience...
SinlessOnslaught · 26-30, M
@walabby Ah I see.
pattycakechamp · 26-30, F
I don't qualify in my county, even though the state says I should be able to get one. Really doesn't make sense given the supposed low infection rate.
pattycakechamp · 26-30, F
@Picklebobble2 Also found a news report of a covid spike, but only online, never on tv. My county is only at "1C" which is 65-74 and "super essential" workers. I count as "3"
Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
@pattycakechamp That's too slow. Hustle them up. This is why covid will go round and round and round.

Because they aren't doing enough fast enough and some silly beggars are still playin politics !
pattycakechamp · 26-30, F
@Picklebobble2 Pretty much. The state is going so slow that I think it won't keep up with new cases.

Not me, I'll let the vulnerable people get it first...and I'm not going to Gillette Stadium to wait in line to get one.
Maybe if they come up with a better system, I don't know..something less crowded.
BittersweetPotato · 31-35, F
I was supposed to get it long time back, and everyone around me got it.. but idiot me, I took to long to book it. Anyhow, I have an appointment tomorrow to get my first shot. Not sure it will happen, but I will go anyway.
SW-User
I finally had my first shot this past Friday. I'll be traveling to see a relative who'll be turning 85 in August so, it's more about protecting her than protecting myself. 🤷‍♀️
Nyloncapes · 61-69, M
Had my first jab 4 weeks ago never even knew I had it done, if you want to go abroad or in certain venues your going to need to be vaccinated

I received my first dose last week. No side effects. Although I am now getting a strong urge to switch my software development environment from Mac to Windows.

I’m getting my first on Friday. Most of the people I know in person have at least had one by now.
Midlifemale · 61-69, M
I got both.
I doubt you'll be able to get on a plane if you don't get vaccinated
Lynn1976 · 46-50, F
Not yet as I do not qualify. But about 24 percent of Canada has been vaccinated so far.
Lilymoon · F
I haven't got any shots yet but I do plan on getting them when they're available
Still waiting. But will have to get mine for travelling also.
All the older members of my family are fully vaccinated.
