With many people I am skeptical, also when they say they are "free spirits". I've heard a lot of people claim these things but reality and their own actions show otherwise.

I think "open minded" can actually be narrow and subjective sometimes. Many times it means 'I am open' as long as I agree with you or you agree with me. It can sometimes mean a person doesn't have strong views on a subject.
I tend to like broad-minded thinking, which doesn't judge something beforehand. But that is hard for human nature to do..
