Yes. It’s false advertising. I thought it was going to instantly make pot. How disappointed I was. But as a slow cooker and/or pressure cooker? Great.

@DukeOfEarle sounds like a bunch of crock! 😈🤣

I have a ninja foodie which air fries and dehydrates too.
Yes
But I will still use the crockpot for potluck things someday in the distant future.

Yes, if you get a model with a slow cooker setting.

I use mine as a crockpot sometimes. I haven't pulled out the crockpot since I've owned the Instant Pot.
It's not as fast as people say. The Instant Pot typically needs about 10-15 minutes to get pressurized... so add that to whatever recipe you see.
Otherwise... it's my favorite kitchen tool and we use it every 2-3 nights.

I’ve got an insta pot in the garage that I haven’t used. I still use my crock pot, and I have 3 sizes of them.
iamnikki · 31-35, F
@cherokeepatti why don't you use it
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@iamnikki I’ve lived this long without it, had a pressure cooker and rarely used it...I like slow cooking better. Especially since I’m retired. I don’t like the way pressure cooking makes veggies taste & don’t particularly like meat cooked with one either.

I just bought a Ninja Foodi with all of those settings, and plan to get rid of my crock pot. I only have room for one large pot in my kitchen.

No the crockpot still has its place for obliterating the taste and texture of food.

Just don’t fall for the banana in the tailpipe. As in an air fryer. They suck!!!!
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
Hmmm crock pot, instant crock! 😈

It gets worse and even more worse? 🤣

Bullshit, nonsense, something that is a lie. However, crock is not usually used as an interjection like the above words may be.
...
Crock can also be used to describe a phony or false thing or someone who is a sham.

Yes. Pretty much. Same thing in 30-40 minutes
Rosiechick13 · 31-35, F
Yes! Same food in 45 minutes or less. Sometimes I still use mind because of the all day smell in the house though
BackyardShaman · 61-69, M
Yes and it could if you wanted to not have a crockpot, but I still use mine.
assemblingaknob · 26-30, F
Like a pressure cooker?
Rosiechick13 · 31-35, F

I do, and love it.
"Does it make crockpot obsolete?" I don't think it does.
