I find these two sports are similar to each other because they are all about art and dance. And the artistic skill and technique are quite the same. But I don't know which one is harder or better because I only do the figure skating so I have no idea what ballet feels like.
I have done both, and figure skating is far harder. The skates put a lot of painful pressure on your ankles, and the ice is not there to make things easier.

@4meAndyou I still remember when I got home from long hours of practice, and my ankles were sore.
Can't say much about figure skating, though I did date someone that was a ballerina and she'd come home with wrapped and bloody toes from all the work she'd put in. Would worry me, but found out she wasn't the only one. All the others were like that too and no, it wasn't because she wasn't doing it right like some people think, it was because they'd push themselves so hard to get the parts, nothing else mattered. As for figure skating? I suppose you have those that would do the same, but as I said, I have no experience there.

@MrPerditus1 And that is the reason why I gave up the dream of becoming a ballerina. I don't want my feet to get hurt.
@SW-User those drawings are really good! But I haven't even done any normal or rollerskating, let alone figure skating. And my experience with ballet doesn't go further than watching an occasional clip on TV.

@SW-User Thank you so much!
I only watch ballet on Tv or the internet. I've never tried it. Besides, I don't want my feet to look terrible.

@SW-User yeah, that is quite the problem for women who dance ballet regularly. Best to stick to figure skating if you still enjoy that. 🙂
I have no idea to be honest. I have never done or attempted ballet. I've only been on ice skates twice, surprising considering I live in a cold weather state, but both times I fell flat on my ass. Figure skating I imagine would be even more difficult 😲
