I Wish

I wish I can go back to school .. Every year around this time, everyone is getting ready to be back to school, I wish I could do the same.
I used to be a good student throughout high school, I had good grades in college as well. Suddenly, I failed a test and I know for sure that I shouldn't have failed, it turned out there was a mistake. The professor refused to fix it. It was my last year in college, I had a fight with him and since the system is corrupted here, I was on a black list, and I didn't pass the year. I repeated that year 3 times, but I still had same bad grades. I gave up and dropped out, I found a job first as a tourist guide then as an assistant. To work I had get a document that says that I will never go back to school. I don't have the right to get my scholar file. So now I can't go back to school, and my heart is breaking. Because after years and years of hard work and surviving terrible education system, I don't have a college degree. I was so ambitious and I wanted to go for Masters and PhD. Now I don't have even a simple college degree.
I wish I can go back to school and get my degree. I swear no matter how many times I complained about school and studying and homework, I would do anything to go back.
I'm not allowed to do that here in my country, and I don't have money to apply for abroad school, even if I had money, I don't have my scholar file.
and now I'm just an assistant when I can do much much better.
What did you mean by "I don't have the right to get my scholar file." The school won't release your grade transcript? How is that possible? Don't they have some kind of legal obligation to release this? Is there any legal process in your country to force the college to disclose your scholar file and give you a copy? I cannot believe they can make you pay for school and then legally claim you have no right to the file. That needs to get fixed and you need to take initiative to fix it.

The solution to this problem is to go to a college in a different country, that has no affiliation to the corrupt college that created these problems. It looks like you will only be able to do this after saving up money, or maybe by marrying some foreigner.

Sorry for your suffering here.
Could you bribe someone to get the transcript? Since there are apparently no real laws in your country I guess this happens?

yes I can .. but honestly that's against my morals.. I could have got my degree in many other ways but I prefer to keep my morals and standards intact. that might sound silly in my case but I don't like to play by their rules. I believe that I will get what I want one day who knows, but I will always go after what I dream with honesty and I won't go down to their level
Your government has no morals, and it is very difficult to understand your point. What person would look at a bribe to get their own college transcript as immoral? It's like paying a robber to get back the things he stole from you.

What a mess !
And I thought things were bad here in the US.
I know a Chinese fellow who went back home to Fujian, for his grandfather's funeral. He had to pay a $400 bribe just to get the death certificate so they could proceed. He has said he would never go back to China.
How can people be so relentlessly rotten to other people ?
I wish I could wave a magic wand, pop up with several thousand dollars, and have you come over here, where things are not as bad as what happened to you.
What were you studying ?
PM me if you like....

You talk as though you are in a country where things are very different... i am sorry if that is so.. in many countries such as the UK students are able to go back and study as adults.. adult education. .yes you tend to have to pay for the education which isnt easy, is hard work and you have to make a lot of sacrifices.. but it can be done and it is worth it.. many get a better job through that and that allows them to study more and save for uni/college
belseg · 31-35, F
it's different here in Tunisia, we can't go back to uni, there are some training programs and classes but they're not as important as a degree. And even if I get enough money, I'm not allowed to get my scholar record. No uni will accept me without that record sadly
I'm a high school student who loves school

I used to love school and studying

Perhaps you are where you were meant to be.
belseg · 31-35, F
I keep telling myself that.. I keep saying that I can build myself and my knowledge by myself but degree is important for a better status at work, even if I have a better knowledge than someone with a college degree, they would still get a better post. Life is unfair but well
PeanutsauntieP1982 · 41-45, F
Life is unfair, but you have to play with the cards you were dealt. Maybe it will take you in another direction, one you didn't/ couldn't anticipate and that is uniquely suited to you. I had something like that happen to me. I couldn't do the mAjor I wanted, due to it having too many triggers, but then as I was going about life one day, a woman made me make a promise, one that is sacred to me, and that I'll never break, but is very much suited to me, more so than my chosen major.
