How well do you adapt to changes in your life?

Big changes by the way, like a new job or relocating.
JRVanguard · 26-30, M
I panic
And then gradually panic less and less each day until I’m back to my normal level of nervousness
Rose0415 · 36-40, F
@JRVanguard Kind of the same, because I am an over thinker 😅😆.
JRVanguard · 26-30, M
@Rose0415 Saaaaaaame
It seems that is allthat I do; constantly adapt. Survival of the fittest; those who don't adapt, die (figurate but Darwin probably meant it literally)

IMHO, it's the only way we grow, by learning and making the needed changes.

I made the needed small changes on my path to being self-employed, a licensed professioinal and I LOVE IT...I am doing what I love...learning and helping others.

@MsAlaineEYes Same here. I'm a nurse so part of my job is helping people, and learning from my interactions with the patients.
@Rose0415 Thank you for providing such a wonderful and kind service to Humanity. and for learning how to adapt to stay afloat amidst all this craziness in the past almost 14 months. 🌹

@MsAlaineEYes It's been a wild ride, let me tell you...
SW-User
Pretty well, though I'm starting to feel like I don't want any more.
Rose0415 · 36-40, F
@SW-User I know how that feels.
SubstantialKick · 31-35, M
Not well at all. I think about anything and everything that could possibly go wrong until I finally get settled.
@SubstantialKick sounds like you just lack some confidence in your ability; just "do it" and gain skills, gain confidence and you will learn that you are able to adapt better...it starts with being honest with yourself, like you just have, imho...worrying just takes your energy and hope away.
SubstantialKick · 31-35, M
@MsAlaineEYes Yeah, I think my problem is that I worry about screwing up and ruining an opportunity.

I adapt well to change
SW-User
I have to manage my stress during times of great change. It's not easy for me.
Rose0415 · 36-40, F
@SW-User Same.
Allelse · 36-40, M
I resist it as much as I can and then I go full throttle and try and get it over as quickly as possible.
SW-User
Eh.. I’m okay for the most part
It’s an adjustment
iamelijah · 26-30, M
Never been there but I am sure able to adapt.
SW-User
Well enough.
I have had big changes plenty of times.
SW-User
Head up, taken with both hands and deal.

I don't like change
Rose0415 · 36-40, F
@Ingwe I don't either sometimes, but sometimes the most uncomfortable changes are the ones that are best for us.

Army brat. Used to it
TheLordOfHell · 41-45
As long as it's a change of my own making, I'm just fine!

@Darksideinthenight2 👏 I'd vote this BEST COMMENT if it were my thread... "just do it". Everyone's process is different. Find your own path...find a ROUTINE...I think that is a key to successful.
