What's the difference between a Perv and someone with an unusual Fetish?

Pushing your sexual desires on someone else without consent is pervy, whether the desires are vanilla or fetishes.

The meaning of the term perv varies wildly from person to person. I rarely use it in a negative context other than someone [i]forcing[/i] their sexual tastes on someone in some way. You can do whatever you want on your own, I have my own tastes that some may find questionable, I'd just prefer you not shove it in my face please.

A perv is creepy. Depending on the fetish, they're usually very kinky.

Pervs don't have respect for people. They don't have an issue with seeing people as tools to satisfy their fetishes regardless of whether those people consent to it.

They are both referring to things sexual, A perv is someone who likes any perversion which is wide open and anything not considered "normal" is perverted, not sure who defines normal though. Fetish is a special kind of abnormal where someone develops an attachment to objects including a non sexual body part which is objectified.

The word fetish is often misused to describe anything unusual or strong sexual interests in anything but that is not correct. Fetish is a sub catagory of paraphilia. I guess you could say all fetish is unusual since only about 4% have a parpahilia of any type.

Well someone who has an unusual fetish is always a pervert but someone who is a pervert doesn't always have an unusual fetish.

I suppose the real question to ask is, with everyone being so tolerant and accepting of all the unusual fetishes discussed on SW, does that make them acceptable and natural and so no longer perverse ?
