Do you hate the grocery stores that put the automatic lock on the basket when you reach an imaginary line in the parking lot?

The 2 stores closest to my house are so annoying you have to park a little bit far from the store because there's never any spots but your basket full of groceries locks up before you can reach your car.
I am so tired of companies not giving a darn about their customers in only caring about their convenience.

Seen the matrix ? It's the energy they harvest,.. they just want the money and the energy you expended in time used up. They dont give a shit about you.. they just want to prevent 10 carts a month from being carted off by homeless.. they hate people but love money.. think about this..

Man sees a sign in walmart, that says american Express card 2 percent cash back at walmart.

What the sign really says, if you go in debt to my friend I will reward you..

Why does walmart fly the sign? What's their incentive? To reward u? Not.. it's all about money, that shit that is governed by oil, and destroys the planet you live on..

Convenience? CONVENIENCE?? People are stealing the carts or taking them to reach their homes and not returning them forgetting that others need to use the carts. Stop being so self-centered and selfish.

@Crazywaterspring That's my point. What don't you understand?
REMsleep41-45, F
@Crazywaterspring Of course not but if the grocery store shares a parking lot with 10 other stores why make the line so exact that often the grocery shopper can't reach their car. This is my problem.
Its very difficult to find a parking spot directly in front of the store.

I didn鈥檛 realize that they were doing it but it鈥檚 a good idea, they need to extend their range a bit though. The older cart-pusher at the Walmart I worked had to go in his truck to various neighborhoods within a mile of the store and collect the shopping carts people had left in their front yards and he was tired of it. Probably at least 50 a week not to mention the ones that people who clean the local parks and streams find in the streams. They found 10 in one park stream last year.

We don't have that around here.

Do you realize how much it costs customers when you see abandoned cart blocks away from the store, or homeless people wheeling them around town? Those carts aren't really cheap to replace. So ot's a trade off.
QueenandCrown41-45, F
I don't think any store I shop at has that feature.
SW-User
We don't have those
LadyBronte56-60, F
Never heard of that.
They're not that good, or the trolleys wouldn't be turning up a mile across town from the store... 馃ぃ
Pretzel61-69, M
I didn't realize they had those things
REMsleep41-45, F
@Pretzel it is to prevent people stealing grocery carts
Pretzel61-69, M
@REMsleep yeah I get it - I guess they aren't really accurate
Gusman61-69, M
Write a damning letter to the company. Best way to vent your disapproval
Jeffrey5351-55, M
It鈥檚 because they don鈥檛 want you steal the carts
REMsleep41-45, F
@Jeffrey53 Sure but be reasonable about the distance that the cart is allowed to travel
SW-User
Only the front wheels though
REMsleep41-45, F
@SW-User yea but obviously that enough to prevent you from pushing the basket and thats the whole point.
Poppies61-69, F
Never heard of such a thing
iamonfire69641-45, F
I have never heard of this. I didn鈥檛 even know it was a thing. Sounds annoying.
