Is it just me?

I feel like the world is turning off with coronavirus thing. It's silent and weary, makes me feel like zombies films when the town is empty.
God help us!

What really gets me is the hoarding. Just read an article, two brothers rented a U-Haul and cleaned out the stores of hand sanitizer and wipes. They filled their garage to the brim then tried to sell this stuff on E-bay. The bidding started at $70 for one hand sanitizer. Fortunately they got shut down and the article was about how they are now unable to sell anything. Below in the comments were stories about those with compromised immune systems (chemo etc) who were not able to buy it because of the selfishness of these two. That really gets me!

It's going to be this way for a few weeks, get comfy. As long as the internet doesn't go down, it's all good.😁

Keep breathing and watch some light entertainment and comedy when you can, to break away from it all. Life will always go on.
I understand the feeling - but the quiet is a sign of good sense - staying off the firing line.

I don't think it's just you. It's gotten more difficult to be upbeat.

It's going to be a common observation. The gods are being arseholes. :)

I am surprised there hasn't been more talk of Zombies. The zombies are an allegory for the sick seeking help, but the healthy pushing them away.

The bigger worry is not the illness. It is the fear that disrupts normal work and commerce. That causes more fear and shortages, loss of jobs, and other bad things. Then the cycle starts again making things worse.

Largely because people are panicking.

Reasonable measures are being taken, but because we are not used to taking action with immediacy as a preventative measure it makes things seem worse than they are.

Our society has spent so much time reacting rather than preparing, that this shift seems foreign and alarming.
