Thoughts on Unisex Toilets/Showers?

SW-User
I'm fine if they're single-use. Otherwise it'd be awkward to share a bathroom with girls. I don't like any public bathroom much, but at least keeping it to one gender makes it a little less weird.

@SW-User True but chances are you've shared with gay men. I'm not saying that's a bad thing but that's my point

@andrewbarclave I am a gay man, so to me it's not about who people are attracted to but the presence of the other gender. For some reason that is more awkward to me.

@SW-User That's fair enough

They will go down a long way in breaking down walls (excuse the pun) between the genders. It would teach each gender about the other one. It's those Romans who invented separate gender bathrooms. Reason? To prevent women from interfering with business transactions carried out by men.

@Lanyx It would be a way guys could de-sexualise women

There are already unisex toilets in trains, at least where I live. I don't see any problem. Question is whether there should be urinals for men in unisex toilets. I'm undecided.

Showers: considering the way some men behave ==> NO! 🤨

I don't really care. It's a bathroom. Everyone's just trying to do the same thing. The last time I went to a bar there were girls in the men's room because there was a long line for the women's room.
Working in construction, I hate that I have to share a bathroom with men because they don't seem to have any home training. 🤬

@DreamyCrush That's a big issue too. It's very frustrating for sure

For a computer scientist like me, absolutely everything is binary at least.
