Does money really buy happyness?

I don't know if money really buys happyness, but at the moment I have 99 problems and money would solve most if not all of them. When I say money, I don't mean being filthy rich. I mean living life comfortably, to the point that if I want something I can easily buy it. I am a simple guy, I'm not into lavish or luxury things. So when I mean buy anything, I don't mean really expensive stuff.

Most people your age are experiencing this. I did a budget analysis of my own spending a long time ago, and hands down, housing is the greatest expense we have and housing costs can be managed.

Couples your age are buying Tiny Houses so they will have disposable income. That way they can enjoy their lives and take vacations and do all the things they want and need to do.

After my divorce, I downsized to living in a room rental so that I could pay for my car insurance after 3 small parking lot accidents in a row that were my fault. You can play with your housing and perhaps you will be able to save enough to find the comfortable life you seek.

I was told once.."money doesnt solve problems, just allows you to arrive to your problems in style"

I have found that money reveals you. Meaning, money really brings out ones true character. I will say this also, you do have more time and energy as you are spending it worried about money

It takes the sting out of being poor.
Are rich folk happier than poor folk? I guess superficially most are.

@Entwistle There are people living in fine homes in an exclusive area of my city, Mercedes and other expensive vehicles in their driveways, they wear the stylish status symbol clothing & accessories, they hire people to cut their lawns & clean their homes, they also have yard sales selling their worn-out clothing & other items....was told they do that to get money for groceries. Because they come from wealthy families that expect them to keep up their lifestyles & they get up to their eyeballs into debt & have to sell their stuff to buy food at a grocery store. They have no concept of living comfortably....and that must suck.

Money doesn’t buy happiness... but..

There’s a threshold where if one doesn’t have enough to get buy, stress can get in the way of happiness

Not having to deal with financial struggles makes being happy much easier

No, it doesn't buy happiness, but it does make life a lot easier to live.

If you have all money problems you have some work to do
