Why is The N word so bad?

Cuz nuts are sacred
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
Every iteration of society requires a set of words that are offensive. And, unwritten rules are created that are intended to present those words and make them unavailable for use. Except... human nature kicks in and the fact that they are offensive and not supposed to be used (even though they exist) some people can't resist using them.

Although the words have been different down through the ages, this has been going on for centuries. It's basically what keeps society in place.

It's a derogatory term with history behind it.
It's just a word though, and the meaning behind it is only as powerful as its use.
Unlike a word like "yes", the meaning is not always going to come off as the way you intend.
Which is why it's probably best to avoid using it in general.
You have to me kidding me.

That's an interesting question. I think people get too hung up on words.

@RippinKlouds Then why is it a compliment when used by people of color. I don't think who invented it is important. It is about who uses it.

it's not. However whenever you say it it sounds like you mean it in a bad way.

Because we've come fear words and language more than the intent behind their utterance.
