If a cop came across their own kid breaking and entering. Would they taser them on principle?

My brother escaped from police custody
Waded ditches ,briar's ,barbed wire ,snakes and cotton mouth's
only to get home and my Dad and I put him in the car and took him back .
The ones that were still on the run
The next morning cops were walking the streets with automatic weapons and dogs
going door to door asking to search .
We did not want him shot
When you rob trains ,well the take that crap seriously
Some said my Dad and I sucked
I loved my Brother I did not want him shot as a fleeing felon
or the crap beat out of his like the others they had to track down
His lawyer got the escape charge dropped ,the cop let him escape so they could shoot him .
If my Dad caught me breaking the law he would bust me ,thats what he took and oath to do ,
Uphold the law ,,my Dad was a very Just man
He taught me ,Justice is only just when the same laws apply to everyone
no exceptions ,now I agree with him

I suppose it would depend on the cop. Some won't even taser a stranger unless the person was coming at them in a hostile manner. Some seem to think it's the easiest answer, and easiest is best. Some wouldn't ever harm their own child, but then you get some who are harder on their own because of higher expectations, or embarrassment. And then there are the abusive cops who will hurt the kid just because they can.

probably not. a taser is just a 'less lethal' option; there've been a number of taser related deaths.

Doubt it. They don’t pull over cops for speeding or “flashing” their lights to go through traffic.

Hahaha,,, they'd probably shoot the homeowner... what kid? my kids at home...
