How do I stop having these dreams?!馃槪

I haven't slept in days cause I'm scared of my dreams. They're actually GREAT dreams! So good that they make me want to stay in bed and sleep forever. I wake up and find it hard to cope with reality. And it probably sounds stupid...but they are messing with my head and everyday life.
SW-User
I think there just unfinished thoughts throughout the day
Try not to over think them huh 馃槉
Given that I know it's dam near impossible for you because you have a very analytical mind
A gorgeous mind though 馃

Use them as a driver. A motivator, to make reality rival anything you could possibly dream. Make real life make even your best fantasies feel like wallowing in shit piles
SapphicHeartF
Put me into your dreams and it might help. Ahem.

Sorry. On a serious matter, it's so difficult for me to relate to this as the last dream I recall was a nightmare and it's back in April 2015.

It's not that the dreams are so good, but that the reality is too bad.
ThePenguin26-30, M
That is my bet, I have similar experience.
SW-User
@ThePenguin What did you do or what have you been doing about it?
ThePenguin26-30, M
@SW-User honestly I can't do a lot about them. I just make sure to get so sleepy that I just get unconscious instead of sleeping.
okaybut56-60, M
That is fucking awesome...about the good dreams anyway. What are they about??
SW-User
@okaybut It is not, it's messing with my head. They're about a certain person.
okaybut56-60, M
@SW-User Someone you want and cannot have?
SW-User

Escapism cannot be escaped. It is addictive.
Andromeda22426-30, M
Start writing them out in a journal. It's the only way you can move on.
SW-User
@Andromeda224 I do. They only stopped for a while and then came back.
Andromeda22426-30, M
Never stop writing.
SW-User
You need to stop avoiding whatever it is and face it head on. Your mind is demanding it of you.
I've had dreams where I wondered for days after when I was awake if my real life was a lie.
SW-User
@Gingerbreadspice Exactly. And it's been going on for weeks. At first it was once a week but last time I had 3 of these dreams in a row. And it's frustrating cause it makes me hate reality.
Elegy46-50
Why not be okay with that? Who doesn't want fantastic dreams that they can remember?
jaymic64M
Dreams can be very powerful
SW-User
@jaymic64 This is too much power.馃槓

Can you focus your mind on something else before you go to sleep? Like reading a nice story or something?

Not much experience with avoiding to remember dreams to be honest. I've lately been trying to remember them, because if I wake up and don't actively remember, they are lost forever. 馃槣

Dreams help the mind get resolution with reality.
