I Had An Epiphany

The same way that I prepare my meals, clothes, body for the work week, I also need to prepare my MIND for the work week.
I am an introvert who works in an open office space, surrounded by talkative extroverts. It's draining, because they constantly tell me how quiet I am, and recently have been making of fun how little and how healthily I eat.

I have to prepare my mind for the toxic environment that I have to be in for 8 hours per day.

This hits home with me too. I haven’t yet come up with a solid routine to help but I do use the following in whatever combination that feels right to me:
Have you considered looking into taking salt baths/showers to clear your energy field of negative energies? Focusing your breathing to clear yourself as needed? Prayer is powerful too. Using/wearing various types of crystals to help you a little? Meditating when possible to help to feel more in control, regulated? It’s nice to experiment with different stuff. Because you don’t have to keep their stuff in your field. You know what I mean jelly bean?😝🤗💕💐

Also I’ll add, you become more empowered when you don’t care so much what is said about you. That’s like your prime defense. If you know who you are you’ll know that what you receive is true about you or not. And in the words of Flavor Flav, “If it don’t apply let it fly”...

And kuddos for you taking care of yourself🤗👍💕💐

@iamnikki And Pink Himalayan Salt has multi purpose uses. It’s also used for cooking, but has a unique taste so it’s an acquired taste.
Some of the salt did fall off, but since pink Himalayan salt has larger grains than regular salt, it sticks a little better and it still worked well.
Here’s a little bit of info on it :)

Don't worry. After years and years of a work environment, you will become hardened, and you will automatically be able to blow off things that bother you now.

@iamnikki I hate gabbers. Verbal diarrhea, most of it. Yapping just so that they can make noise. I was once stuck on a commuter train with a pair of those, and after an hour I thought I would go mad. If I had to deal with it every day I would have to wear ear plugs.

@4meAndyou yes, it is verbal diarrhea . Talking about nothing nonstop

I had similar experiences in office environments where I worked. In one, I was at a semi-cubicle in between two shopaholic / constantly yakking women. They teased me about my healthy food choices and that I read books on my breaks. I chalked it up to jealousy. I was able to tune them out somewhat with headphones, and I steeled myself for the challenge every day.

@Byron8by7 I undersand. What do you want to do?

@iamnikki Clerical in a healthcare environment.
