I Had An Epiphany

The same way that I prepare my meals, clothes, body for the work week, I also need to prepare my MIND for the work week.
I am an introvert who works in an open office space, surrounded by talkative extroverts. It's draining, because they constantly tell me how quiet I am, and recently have been making of fun how little and how healthily I eat.

I have to prepare my mind for the toxic environment that I have to be in for 8 hours per day.

This hits home with me too. I haven’t yet come up with a solid routine to help but I do use the following in whatever combination that feels right to me:
Have you considered looking into taking salt baths/showers to clear your energy field of negative energies? Focusing your breathing to clear yourself as needed? Prayer is powerful too. Using/wearing various types of crystals to help you a little? Meditating when possible to help to feel more in control, regulated? It’s nice to experiment with different stuff. Because you don’t have to keep their stuff in your field. You know what I mean jelly bean?😝🤗💕💐

Also I’ll add, you become more empowered when you don’t care so much what is said about you. That’s like your prime defense. If you know who you are you’ll know that what you receive is true about you or not. And in the words of Flavor Flav, “If it don’t apply let it fly”...

And kuddos for you taking care of yourself🤗👍💕💐

@TheLoveAge Yes, I used to take baths daily when I got home from work, but I tend to stay in there too long lol. So now I do that on Wednesdays with the epsom salts. I stretch while watching tv since sitting for 8 hours hurts my back and neck. I do pray. I told myself I'd get up earlier to read the word and meditate before work. But I get up at 6 am.

Thank you. I really do think they are jealous, they are over weight. One said her husband asked her when she was going out of town again, so that tells me something lol

@iamnikki Yea the stretching throughout the day is so helpful! Walking around and stretching and offering to get people things while I’m up gives me an excuse to take mini breaks lol 😗😎 Office settings can be really monotonous at times and plenty of opportunities to snack and eat junky foods. I’ve noticed that there are quite a few overweight folk in these types of jobs. I know for myself it was so hard to keep working out and eating healthy because of all the frequent pot lucks they had. And I would try to steer clear as much as possible and opt for healthier stuff, but I have a bad sweet tooth lol not gonna lie. And I wore those sweets miserably too😜 It derailed my health efforts but I at least brought in veggie trays when we had to bring things in. Do you have to bring things in when they/if do pot lucks or can you opt out of them?

But that sounds like a nice routine, getting prayed up and preparing you for the day👌

Lol, I’ve only showered with them haven’t done the baths. Glad they are helpful and you enjoy them🤗

I understand that. And yea wonder what’s going on with their relationship🧐

@TheLoveAge Yes I try to stretch every time I go to the bathroom lol. My little me time. Ugh they have pot lucks all the time. Like weekly. Someone's always bringing something. The small office reeks of food like all day. It's so annoying. And everyone is overweight, except like me an one other. I usually bring drinks if it's an official potluck. If it's just a day where they wanna feed each other, I opt out. I bring my lunch daily.

I've never thought about showering with epsom salts. Does it still relax you? What do you do? Add the to the sponge?
TheLoveAge · 36-40, F
@iamnikki Lol the bathroom is my sanctuary 😜 Relief and decompression all in once convenient location haha!

I’ve actually used Pink Himalayan Salt, took a really small cup in the shower with me filled with salt. Lathered up my loofah sponge and layered it with salt. Repeated that until the salt was gone. Waking up the next day felt amazing, I felt new, rebirthed😜 I imagine you could do the same with Epsom salt?
iamnikki · 31-35, F
@TheLoveAge lol right . oh ok, i'll try it. But im not sure how that'd work. Wouldn't the salt just fall off and go down the drain?🤔
TheLoveAge · 36-40, F
@iamnikki And Pink Himalayan Salt has multi purpose uses. It’s also used for cooking, but has a unique taste so it’s an acquired taste.
Some of the salt did fall off, but since pink Himalayan salt has larger grains than regular salt, it sticks a little better and it still worked well.
Here’s a little bit of info on it :)
