Is it rude to dance with someone other than your date at a dance?

It’s rude for someone to ask a couple out on a date to dance with one of them . The date and any chance of another one would have been over for me had my date accepted .

That is why I always went to dances with a female friend. I [i]tried [/i] going to a dance with a date once, and he didn't want to dance enough to suit me, and he clearly expected me NOT to dance with others. It was a drag.

However...I did go to dances with a live in lover at one time...before he stopped dancing because of his knee...and he was wonderful. He was exciting to dance with, and didn't seem to mind if I danced with other people.

I don't know how it is today, but when we were dating or out with others after we married, it was considered rude not to dance with others. I saved all the slow cuddly dances for my date.

you shouldn't let your date sit while you dance with everybody

Just make sure your date gets her fair share of dances with you.
