He died tragically in a car accident back in January of 1988 just before we both were to turn 21 (me in April and him in August)...it's hard to believe that was nearly 32 years ago.

@destinyfabulous Thank you. I've only had two people in my life that I consider my best friend...He was a childhood best friend and is gone, but the other is my wife and I see (as well as cherish her) every day.

Yes unfortunately. He and I worked together for a while and he felt I was being competitive but was just doing my work the best I could. The company decided to move and I was retained for a while and he was not. I do miss him as a friend and the good conversation we use to have.

@ramgopal I did make an attempt but a lot has changed since then. I don't think they want to be friends anymore. Sometimes we just have to deal with their decisions.

Yeah. Someone was talking shit about me and she was worried that she would look bad by association. So she just stopped talking to me for a while. She apologised a few months later, but it was never the same because I knew that she would never stand up for me or have my back. She ended up replacing me with some other girl.

@SimplyTracie Heart attack at a very young age.

We both just followed wherever the wind took us. I don't know why we never wrote or called one another. Like took it for granted that he was still there, and we could easily pick up where we left off.

In the end he only stayed 'friends' with me because he was a guitarist and I was the only drummer he knew. But as soon as he met a better drummer he abandoned me.
