What makes a Man shut down after his heart or trust with a Woman is broken but, a Woman can get back up and try again?

Most women do get back up and dust themselves off but, men seem to hit the pavement and don't get back up. Where as, there's a net at the bottom for a woman.

Most women receive help getting back up, even from the guy she just ruined. Men hit bottom and are expected to use it as solid footing.

Men don’t give their hearts easily. Aside from their money pockets if you hurt them it will be a while before he risks his heart again.

No but it takes a lot for a woman to make that kind of an impression on a man that he gives his heart and willingly manipulates his life. He’s all in for good or bad. When he his hurt it takes a long time to heal. They don’t express their pain really to anyone and need to work it out and heal. Women are hopeless romantics, we always want to believe he’s the one and take that chance. I don’t know, it’s JMO@MysteriousRose

Its even been studied and analyzed by psychologists :

I think what usually helps us more than males, is that women naturally seek support from family & friends and talk out the emotions and pain more completely. Men get told to tough it out and deny that they're hurting.
