Treat the situation like a debate. Let the speaker have his full say and then make your comments or questions.
Madeleine · 41-45, F
@Anonymartyr Fair enough. But what if when it's your turn to speak, they cut you off?
@Madeleine take it gracefully, people like that hold less credibility anyway.

No, I'm polite and use my manners.
Depends on context...

... is the person hustling you on the streets, etc...

... but in normal conversation it's damned rude.
Madeleine · 41-45, F
@CopperCicada Agree.

No never ever ..even if i am damn sure that speaker is completely wrong ..why ? Because the first rule of winning a debate is to listen the full argument .those who interrupt or counter argue without listening often end up embarrased and lose ..
Madeleine · 41-45, F
@SW-User That's wise.
GJOFJ3 · 61-69, M
No! Let them finish
popmol · 22-25, M
only for 2 reasons. 1 if the statement was incorrect scientifically or when they say something i said or mean like they can know what i mean.
Madeleine · 41-45, F
@popmol Sometimes you just can't help it.
popmol · 22-25, M
@Madeleine thats a serious problem in outr household. i sometimes make mistakes but my sister and dad always do it and it pisses me off.
Peaches · F
No because I realize there are differences of opinions and I'm okay with that. I don't start frothing at the mouth demanding to be heard like someone that's just pooped their diaper....😱
Reboot · 46-50, M
I'd only interrupt someone if something they said was blatantly wrong. Otherwise I let people say what they want and prove to me how much/little they know.
Madeleine · 41-45, F
@Reboot You are wise.
anathemaJack · 46-50, M
Speaker as in a formal speech? No that's just crude.
If it's some schmoe that I'm listing to casually, I'd just shrug it off.
Madeleine · 41-45, F
@anathemaJack Makes sense.

Being respectful you should let them finish their point. Interrupting is a dick move!
Pfuzylogic · M
No unless I felt the speech borderlined
on assault.
Madeleine · 41-45, F
@Pfuzylogic true.
Newfound · 41-45, M
