Murder. Two glasses say someone else was most likely there. Clock in the floor might show signs of a scuffle. His shirt already laid out for the morning says he plans on being around. Plus who does homework if they are plan ing to off themselves? Lastly, if those crutches are his, he didn't climb up there by himself.

@Andrew19EightyFive Perhaps, but doesn't explain why his crutches are across the room or how he got up on the end table. Had he used a chair I might buy it as they have a back to hold onto on the way up.

Ugh puzzles.
I'd say murder, if someone was going to kill themself they'd have at least turned their alarm off; and why would someone whose going to kill themself also fold their laundry and bother worrying about studying.
Not to mention the fact they're clearly crippled and cannot get atop the stool to begin with; two crutches.

Murder. His crutches are too far away for him to have walked that far, and what looks like an ashtray is smashed on the floor, showing signs of a struggle, and there are two cups. I believe what looks like an apparent suicide note is next to the lamp, but my guess is that it was written under duress.

The stool doesn't appear to be tall enough. The guy would have had to be on absolute tip-toes to get his head into the noose which would not have allowed for any 'drop'.
So to my mind someone must have lifted him into position.

@Quizzical assuming the drawing is accurate and to scale, if you look at the body's shadow , the feet are slightly above the bed.. you can determine this by the fact the body's shawdow does not intersect with the shadow of the bed...
Now looking at the height of the bed, you can notice that the stool's height is slightly higher than the bed as well..
