Will you please help with ideas of things to do?

My husband wants to go to casino to blow money we can't afford to throw away. A bunch of discouraging things has happened lately and then he found out last night one his best friends was shot and killed off of a forest road. So now my husband is in an impulsive mood. I'm an impulsive person too but as I get older I want our kids taken care of and debts paid before throwing money into a machine that most likely won't give anything back. Since its Mothers Day I can pull rank if needed. What's something we can do instead that would be fun on $100 in Willamette Valley?

Go to an amusement park and have kiddish silly fun on roller coasters, afterwards have something nice to eat.. HAVE FUN

@SW-User that sounds closer to the idea I'm looking for. I just told him we can be spontaneous but we are too old to be impulsive.

Can't help with ideas locally but your intentions are better than his.... What about scouring the local papers, web sites for things that are happening... Fairs or markets?
