@Teggy no, it probably won’t change.
the sad thing is that I used to see that control as him loving and wanting to take care of me. Now I see that he was always insecure and keeping me on lockdown made him feel less anxious.

@ProdigalSummer I'm convinced it's a insecurity issue with these sufferers because the stories always the same!

Sadly we are the ones always paying for it in the end emotionally

I neither have nor hold control over my wife and she doesn't have nor hold control over me. We are equal partners, best friends with a relationship based in mutual respect and trust. To me any relationship where one controls the other is dysfunctional. We will express to one another when we don't agree with or like something, but we still leave it up to individual choice and either accept or deal with it (compromise always works best).

And I don't control him. He controls himself more!
