@Emosaur
Ah, I see. Acting like you had won after presenting nothing but empty arguments. Typical theist.
We're not here to win arguments, we're to pit truth against lie. So far, you haven't been much help at bringing truth out into the open.

@Emosaur
You're confusing me with yourself.
Dream on, kid. Isn't it past your bedtime?
AnonymousJSS · 22-25, F
Either
1. He’s evil himself
or
2. He’s not omnipotent
Sharon · F
@GodSpeed63
Well then know what you're talking about next time we converse.
I do. You could try taking your own advice.
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
@Sharon
I do.
Your posts say otherwise.

@GodSpeed63
Your posts say otherwise.
That's just your opinion. It doesn't appear to be shared by others.
Allelse · 36-40, M
If he allows evil then he is evil. Simple.
Allelse · 36-40, M
@GodSpeed63 So god cant control his creation?
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
@Allelse
So god cant control his creation?
He's not a dictator, if that's what you're getting at. If you want to live in perfect world, get saved.
Allelse · 36-40, M
@GodSpeed63 God created beings he cant control? That means he's not all powerful then. Or he is all powerful and he created those beings to behave in a way contrary to his will. Which is it?
ladycae · 100+, F
God can allow anything he wants. he's God.believe it or not eosauer He doesn't care about you or what you wish he did. you have no respect for him so he reciprocates in kind. you have spent days coming up with trick questions and guess what? he is still God and nothing has changed. He doesn't know you. you have no relationship with him so you may as well piss in the wind because you don't control Him. if you made an effort to know him rather than constantly acting like a spoiled child having a temper tantrum then he would listen to you. but your attitude towards Him makes you like an ant. sooner or later you're going to get accidentally stepped on. you get what you give. as the Bible says you reap what you sew.

@kodiac i didn't see the worst of religion, i saw the worst of men. never judge God by what men do. humans will screw you every time. i have a very strong faith in God ad he has never let me down.
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
@ladycae Amen, sister, amen.
Without looking at the video (to quiz myself...ha) I will say evil gives us a choice between the two....good and evil. Whom we wish to serve. By that choice, it tells God where our heart truly lies....with Him....or against Him. Tells Him if we love Him and our level of obedience will be effected by choice, depending on how much we love Him and how serious we take our commitment.

It also can serve to remind us of why and how much, we need Jesus. And helps us see the reality of this world. How much God loves us and the lengths He went to, to prove it.

It also serves to draw us to Jesus when bad things happen to us personally, because the first thing that happens to most, when we're scared for our lives, is call on Jesus.

It also makes us appreciate and grateful for the good and beautiful things in our life and especially the degree of Christ's sacrifice, and our salvation experience. Thankful we don't have to go to Hell.

Now I'll go see how I did. But I know even if I missed something, all the above is true. Without evil, we'd never know or appreciate the good in this world.
Nika2002 · 22-25, F
He's rationalizing to support his biased interpretation. He basically uses two false concepts to support each other (a cyclic argument).
@Nika2002 ^Bingo^ Con men sell life insurance. The church sells After-Life insurance. It's brilliant! Everyone thinks you might need it, and no one can prove you don't. The perfect con.
kodiac · 22-25, M
Instead of taking responsibilty for all events ,lets just say god exists so we have something to measure evil by .What a load.
@kodiac That's correct. They're trying to con you.

Sharon · F
@DudeistPriest Just one of the countless contradictions in the bible.

Gods only excuse is he does not exist.

@hippyjoe1955
the Bible would be full of highly technical terminology
It’s instructive that it isn’t. Basic physics, basic biology, basic cosmology, basic chemistry, electromagnetism, basic relativity, basic evolution by natural selection, basic paleontology, basic geology... it misses the lot

Big on unsubstantiated claims about the physical laws of the universe being violated by some or other magical entity... but nothing about the physical universe itself.

A couple of lines such as ‘when you become ill it’ often because of really tiny things on your hands, or because other sick people coughed on you would have been really helpful... or even something like ‘air goes in and out, blood goes round and round - anything else is bad’.

But no, nothing.

Lots about wearing mixed fabrics, and who begat whom, and talking snakes, and genocide, and killing women who have been raped... but nothing actually useful for improving our lives. Even the most inept science writers can convey the basics without needing technical terminology.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@newjaninev2 Yes toots the bible is not an exhaustive book on how the universe was made. Good of you to notice that. How many years of study did it take for you to come this realization? Don't worry you can deny this post in the morning. You are Cleopatra queen of denial.
newjaninev2 · 56-60, F
@hippyjoe1955
how the universe was made
Your god poofed itself into existence and then poofed everything else into existence

That’s about as far from exhaustive as it gets 😀

@GodSpeed63 I find it funny that you keep entering discussions about this this toppic. But you never discuss annything, you just dictate what is "right" because you have nothing to support your ideas Godspeed. It's pretty embaressing at times.

You know those people in horror movies, that close their eyes and go: "It's not real, it's not real, it's not real" ... and then get swallowed up by reality? That's a bit like your behavior out here 😅
Bushranger · 70-79, M
@GodSpeed63 But I did. Didn't you see the source I provided? The one that disagreed with your claim?

It's not that difficult to provide your sources, if you actually have them. That way we can examine both and, possibly, come to some form of consensus.
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
@Bushranger
But I did. Didn't you see the source I provided? The one that disagreed with your claim?
No. You haven't provided any source.
Kwek00 · 41-45, M
I found him...

He's at 5:14 Godspeed!!! 😂

I also love the: "It's so really complicated... [bla bla bla] THIS IS THE NATURE OF EVIL!". "Cancer? You don't like it? Really?" 😂 It's like a the Chewbacca defense all over again.

Evil is a "truly transcendant", so "Evil" is not a social construct at all... 😱
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
@Kwek00
I told you before Godspeed. Prov 14:7 , is just your way of being arrogant
So? You still haven't hit the mark. Arrogance is for fools who believe the lies of men and not the truth of God.
Kwek00 · 41-45, M
@GodSpeed63 Well saying such a thing without anny evidence to back up that you are right about the entire God thing, is still pretty arogant in my book. 😅
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
@Kwek00
Well saying such a thing without any evidence to back up that you are right about the entire God thing, is still pretty arrogant in my book.
Where's your evidence that Yahweh doesn't live?
Bushranger · 70-79, M
@GodSpeed63 Tell mewhat do you consider a source to be?
Bushranger · 70-79, M
@GodSpeed63 Then, by your definition, only around 55 percent of the world's population believe in God. A much smaller number than the 90 percent you claimed.
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
@Bushranger
Then, by your definition, only around 55 percent of the world's population believe in God.
No, 84% believe in God.
Bushranger · 70-79, M
@GodSpeed63 Only if you include non-Abrahamic Gods.

Very interesting from a science, psychological and religious point of view.
I think there's evil just like there is God. 'Was always there.
FreestyleArt · 31-35, M
Evil is man made up word. It's Sin that we are responsible

Not God
@Emosaur
There is a Bible verse which literally says your god created evil.
Isaiah 45:7 King James Version - "I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the Lord do all these things."

Cos he's bored. What's life without drama? 😂

@JBird I wouldn't buy this book JB.

We make Dallas, God made earth. It would be nice to hear the intro song every time you wake up tough.

seems logical to me. doesn't address the question of why God allows evil but that is not the purpose of this video.

It's a question of balance...night and day, ying and yang, evil and good...it's all relative

@Sharon
Denying the truth won't change it. Nor will your lies.
You're lying to yourself and to others and you know it. I make it a point to tell the truth in respect to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

@GodSpeed63
You're lying to yourself and to others and you know it.
You're the liar here. You can't even keep your story straight.
I make it a point to tell the truth in respect to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
LOL. There's considerable doubt that such a person ever existed, never mind being "the son of god". You've never even being able to present any evidence this god exists outside your imagination. It's just one empty claim after another.
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
@Sharon
You're the liar here
Whatever. 🙄
