What does natural disaster has to do with punishement of our sins? [Spirituality & Religion]

I give an example.
An earthquake, tsunami, wildfire. Some people tend to blame it towards non - believers. I mean, come on.
Give me scientific relation between these two things.

I remember homophobics blame lgbtq community for disasters happen in their place. You know, they quoted bibical from story of "Sodom and Gommorah."

Huhh.

PS: Global warming is happening, why don't blame ourselves for corrupting our planet. Sigh.
It is distressing that natural disasters are often termed “acts of God” while no “credit” is given to God for years, decades, or even centuries of peaceful weather. God created the whole universe and the laws of nature (Genesis 1:1). Most natural disasters are a result of these laws at work. Hurricanes, typhoons, and tornados are the results of divergent weather patterns colliding. Earthquakes are the result of the earth’s plate structure shifting. A tsunami is caused by an underwater earthquake.

People don’t realize it, but God has shown us exactly what this world is like with sin in it. This is why we need Jesus. None of these things would occur if there was no sin in the world. Not even death. However, those who use these events to scare people into receiving Jesus as their Savior, are definitely wrong to do so.

The fall of humanity into sin, had effects on everything, including the world we inhabit. Everything in creation is subject to “frustration” and “decay.” Sin is the ultimate cause of natural disasters, just as it is the cause of death, disease, and suffering.

Such events naturally shake our confidence in this life and force us to think about eternity. Notice how churches are usually filled after disasters, as people realize how fragile and short their lives really are, and how life can be taken away in an instant. Because of sin, Mother Nature, herself, groans to be released, even now (John 16:2) like a mother in labor. Upon Jesus’s agony on the cross for our sins, every apostle suffered for awhile, weeping and lamenting, as dying and being crucified with him. Then came the glorious deliverance of Him, and all who suffered with Him, when He conquered death and rose from the grave. The forgiveness of sins, through Jesus, meant they and us today, would live again in newness of life, by the power of his resurrection.
Let’s see what the Bible says about it. Not all natural disasters are from God, but when people are warned excessively, for even years, and they do not heed that warning and are stubborn, yes, disaster may take place, but God always gives plenty of chances to repent, and ample warning.

For example, during Noah’s day, people laughed at, and mocked God. God warned them to quit their sinning against him in the many ways they did, but they wouldn’t listen. Wickedness and rebelliousness were throughout the land and growing even worse. They were given 100 years to repent, but refused. People need to take God more seriously. They just don’t get, that God will not be mocked.

No, they are not
I am a Christian, and there are fanatics in every segment of society who will see what they want in things. The raliens thought that comet Kahotec was a space ship coming to pick them up so they sold everything and went to a hill top to be picked up.
It's not just fanatical religious Christians who think these things.
Natural disasters are real, and God charged us with being stewards of this planet, which we have utterly failed at. So, yes, aside from the natural workings of the climate cycles, our appetite for gluttony and over harvesting, clearing of the forests and pollution have all played into this poor earth not being able to filter and keep things on an even keel

Natural disasters have nothing at all to do with punishment by any god, but gives people who believe in a god a reason to scare others into joining their religion. Fear tactics have been going on for year. Scare people into believing in something or buying something. "If you don't beleive in god, you will go to hell" or "Protect your family, buy this product". Stupid things like that just to scare us into doing something that someone else wants us to do. God caused the ground to shake to punish those who do not believe enough...it is all a bunch of crap that people think up because they really don't know better.
Placing everything in God's hands is really the fastest way to absolve ourselves of any responsibility.

I personally think it's an affront to God to presume to know His will and to project it onto the events around us to explain them. Bad storm happens -> because of this or that social or political thing.

And it's an affront to our own intelligence, which we've been given by God. Built on the river, got flooded. Yea. That happens. Don't need a metaphysical explanation.
They are not punishments.
