What does natural disaster has to do with punishement of our sins? [Spirituality & Religion]

I give an example.
An earthquake, tsunami, wildfire. Some people tend to blame it towards non - believers. I mean, come on.
Give me scientific relation between these two things.

I remember homophobics blame lgbtq community for disasters happen in their place. You know, they quoted bibical from story of "Sodom and Gommorah."

Huhh.

PS: Global warming is happening, why don't blame ourselves for corrupting our planet. Sigh.

Natural disasters have nothing at all to do with punishment by any god, but gives people who believe in a god a reason to scare others into joining their religion. Fear tactics have been going on for year. Scare people into believing in something or buying something. "If you don't beleive in god, you will go to hell" or "Protect your family, buy this product". Stupid things like that just to scare us into doing something that someone else wants us to do. God caused the ground to shake to punish those who do not believe enough...it is all a bunch of crap that people think up because they really don't know better.
