No doubt the country could open up tomorrow, all the President has to do is announce that the country is shut down indefinitely, see how fast the goddamndemocrats return to Washington and begin to pass bills opening up the country.

What's frustrating is that zero governors have a plan... not that Trump's plan has anything material to it.
What's been proven in Washington is that social distancing works. So, let's allow businesses to present re-open proposals on how they will protect their businesses.

I mean, Inslee has handled this pretty well up until now. Though, he's failed to fully acknowledge that Western Washington isn't as densely packed as other metropolitan areas of the country. Nor has he fully acknowledged that he couldn't have done this without the support of the big bad ugly capitalists in this area.

There are currently two late-stage, multinational clinical trials for the bokodo and Mosaico vaccines. The fact is , over the past 3-4 decades, we've been busy merging the worlds of the microbiology and computing, and what we can do today, was not even conceivable 3 decades ago. bokodo and Mosaico are examples.
It killed 40 Million people? There are two possibilities for where that figure came from: 1) your ass; 2) thin air. The actual number is less than 800K. In fact, if you live in a Western country, and you developed HIV after 2000, you will still be alive, and on a drug regimen that prevents fatal, or even uncomfortable symptoms. Third world countries, where these drugs are not available, fare differently.
The Flu? Don't look now, but there are vaccines for many types of the Flu. The trick is get vaccinated for the right type of Flu.
Anything else you would like to be wrong about? I would tell you a little more about the science, but it would be a waste of both our times.

I did not mention Inslee. My response was general purpose. While I live in Washington State, this crisis is both a national and international disaster and I did not want to make it about our corner of the world. As in, my comment is not about politics, and I thought I was clear about that.

Not sure why you bring this up. It is not even remotely related to anything I wrote in my comment, or to any statement by Governor Inslee that I am aware of. Snohomish County, one of the hardest hit counties, is pretty much rural, and while we stabilized in the "dense" areas, the rise in infection is in rural Washington.

Do you have a reason to believe, he is against capitalism, or that he has ever addressed any of the local businesses, as big, bad or ugly capitalists?
I am a byproduct of the "big bad ugly tech capitalism" of the Seattle area, and the relationship between the Governor's office (the last 5), has been anything but cooperative. The Governor's office, holds regular calls, with business leaders, to coordinate, and he discusses it in his press conferences, and reports on it, on his web site.
As a local, I am impressed with how the local business community, with the notable exception of Jeff Bezos, has come together, and set politics aside, to provide solutions.

That's very hard to say. Our governors need to take a county by county approach. Some counties will be highly infected, while others will be almost clear...so it makes no sense for an entire state to have the same timing for ALL these lock downs.
On May 15th, our governor in Massachusetts will assess our new cases, and we will follow the CDC plans to return to work if the new cases continue to decline.

Massachusetts numbers are spiking right now. I was told to check back with my surgeon in the middle of May after they cancelled my April 30th appointment. I would say it will be almost as long for Massachusetts as it is, still, for NYC...perhaps by the end of June or July.
