@Itsmrsockmonkey I've been through really unpleasant things because of my dad ever since I can remember. It left some scars

@Kodokuna I pm'd you. It isn't occurring still is it?

Fear is good. Most of the people you trust will disappoint you, men and women. I think when we say "I have daddy issues" we are putting too much responsibility on ourselves. It's not our responsibility how people react to our fear, not our responsibility how they can't handle the fact we can't trust easily, not our responsibility that we don't fit the normal mold... Our primary responsibility is doing what's best for us. For that only you have to find a healthy way to channel that fear.
The fears that we have are the outcome of having to carry burdens created by others.
And more fears will be created from tying other people's expectations to whether or not we are dysfunctional.

Hmmm, this isn't really the best place to be if you fear men to be honest. There are some here that would try to exploit that fear and vulnerability...
Stay safe!

Comes with self-confidence. You just have to tell yourself that humans are frail, everyone has their weaknesses, and probably variations of the same insecurities you have.
The main differences are the masks they put on and the roles they play.
Develop a good act, and fake it. It'll feel awkward at first, but soon it'll be natural.

@Kodokuna I had the same problems. I couldn't walk across a crowded room because I was worried people were looking at me.
I still get exhausted quickly in social occasions, but I'm no longer paralysed.
It'll never be easy for you, I think, but if you're committed to putting in the work, it will get easier.
