Yes, when I was small. We lived in Baltimore.

My uncle's poodle had a charge account with the Good Humor man. Everyday she ran out to the truck and got a baby cone and my uncle paid weekly.

I let my daughter buy a couple of things one time and told her she could buy 6 frozen treats at Walmart for the same price as one crusty ice cream bombe. got tired of her chasing the truck around the apartment complex yelling “Stop”....had to show her.
