What Would You Do If You Inherited $1Billion

I’m interested to see what y’all would do if you inherited $1Billion. First I would donate $20Million to the Salvation Army every Christmas and buy my family their dream cars and pay most of in not all on the dream house of their choosing. I would put my self absolutely last and just get me a car I like and upgrade it a little and get me a nice MotorCoach so I could travel but I would still work where I am as security for a mall because it truly brings me happiness to be right there for those who need help/assistance.

That's a thousand million, and I would go crazy trying to find 999 deserving charities to give $1 million each. I could do fine with the last million that's left over.
exexec · 61-69, C
@Stillwaiting True. I suppose that's 40% these days, so I'll only have 599 millions to donate.

@FCNantes I would check all charities for efficient use of donations before I would give them any money. That's why I refuse to donate to most charities these days.

@exexec That's fantastic! 👍

Salvation Army is a masonic organization. WHY. Would you want to give them millions. I would instead of that donate to kids personally to each that need life saving treatment and medication etc etc
Buy a huge acreage and move out to my own fortress of solitude.

And make sure my family is taken care of.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow amen to that. I didn’t think about that but I like it.

Give 500 million to Christian charities. Give 250 million to friends and family. Save 20 million for retirement. Buy a penthouse condo, however much that costs. Give away my car and hire a professional limo driver to drive me everywhere. Then go on a huge vacation. Visit every US state and then every continent, including Antarctica. Just hang out at every place however long I feel like it.

Come home and relax. Keep my job, believe it or not. Then decide over time how I want to spend/give/save the rest.

Hmmm I would make wise investments in the market and real estate, the earnings from my investments (after taxes) would be used to help family and friends

@TexChik 👀🔪
The first thing I’d do would be to settle the taxes. Then I’d make sure my parents, siblings and closest friends had what they needed. After that, I’d buy a modest house, donate to the shelter where I’ve volunteered and to St. Jude.

Do some good with it.
take care of my family and friends..
invest in some ranch style house on lake and high some staff to run it.
Lean some new hobbies..

Enjoy retirement and work as nanny if needed for family if I feel up to it (if not get them help - not likely unless they are bad kids). Do bad kid really exists or just one that have not been straight out yet?
I would make many people's lives easier, build a house with lots of secret passages so I can escape the hatchet murderers,a bunker stocked with 5 years of everything,
a big tree in a big back yard, hire a personal trainer and someone to slap the potato chips out of my hand before I eat them, build a wildlife sanctuary,....I think one billion would not be enough
Invest wisely, live off the interest. Something that would generate income for my future generations.
Help relatives, friends, donate to local charities.
A small portion would be used to build a home of my design, and a favorite car.
I've wanted to start a charity to help the unfortunate, now I'd be able to.

Take a trip.

I have all these plans for my loved ones, but I've never thought much about what I'd do for myself. I'm really not sure. I would like to own a house, and I need a new car. I guess that's about it.
SouthernBoy64 · 22-25, M
Same here. I put everyone before myself. And my family has done so much for me financially I wish I could repay them for it all. But I show my love and appreciation even if I have no money to give. They know I appreciate all that they do.@U53RN4M3

I love seeing how kind people are during these tough times. This is what we need to pay attention to. All the positivity and less negativity
Pay the taxes .. set my kids up .. quit my job.. get divorced .. travel like a nomad

Help build houses with Habitat for Humanity and support local food banks

I would split it evenly amongst my close family. They do whatever they want with their cut but as for me,the world can suck it.
FCNantes · 22-25, M
I'd do my research & give 99.9% of it away. My friends & family'd get almost none of it. 😈
plasticpants02 · 61-69, M
Take care of my family first. Then set up some charities and bursaries
Buy a massive amount of land and surround myself with animals that need a home.☺️
