What was the worst movie you had to sit through in a theater?

BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
In a theater? Probably either "Son of the Mask" or "Titanic." Neither are the worst movie I've ever seen, but for ones I've seen in the theater as opposed to seeing at home, those two take the cake.
PhilDeep · 51-55, M
@BlueMetalChick Titanic... watched it more than a month after initial release and not watched it since. Hated it. Same goes for English Patient 😔
Synyster · 51-55, M
@BlueMetalChick
I agree with Titanic. I mean sink the ship already.
OfflineFriend · 22-25
@BlueMetalChick so no star wars movies ?
It was called the lost time, and at the end of the movie I thought to myself what a suitable name for that movie..
contrails · 56-60, M
When I was 13 my dad took me to watch "All the President's Men" (about Watergate investigation), because it was, you know, history and all that. I literally fell asleep in the theater, I didn't have a clue of what was going on... That has been the only time in my life I've fallen asleep in a movie theater... Maybe the movie wasn't so bad in itself, just not suitable for my 13-yo self...
JohnOinger · 41-45, M
@contrailsyeah i seen it great movie movies about politics are more aimed Towards Adults
contrails · 56-60, M
@JohnOinger Probably I can enjoy it if I watch it now, knowing all the background story...

CrustyDDingus · 36-40, M
Probably Independence Day.
Wicker Park - Josh Hartnett, or The Fountain - Rachael Weisz.
PhilDeep · 51-55, M
@SethGreene531 You should try "L'Appartement," the excellent French film that Wicker Park was an attempted remake of.
@PhilDeep Familiar, think I may have run across this. I will look for it.

It's concept was intriguing, but the execution not so much...as are so many remakes, lol!
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F

Without question, it was "The Subject Was Roses." I agreed to go with a buddy of mine and his much older sister and......in my minds eye, it was the worst picture I'd sat through in my bloody life. Horrible!
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
Something To Talk About....it was the last time I went to a theater. Just a fluff movie and not much interesting in it. Had Julia Roberts as the star. No thanks, I just rented more movies.

The Deadly Wake (1996).. it was so bad, it was about a ship which was run by a computer which resembled a baby kept in a glass jar and wired into one of the crew.
Jeffrey53 · 51-55, M
My girlfriend asked me go to see this movie, I didn’t want to go see it but you know you have do things for your significant other.

Extreme Ops (2002). IMDb gave it a 4.5/10, and Rotten Tomatoes gave it a 7%.

Blair Witch Project. My friends and I were all very angry and began throwing plastic liquor bottles at the screen until the theater called the police and we booked.

I remember going home and writing a demand I email to the studio demanding refunds and trolling the response department that I had published in a popular local fanzine
@MethDozer How soon after its release did you see it ? I saw it with friends immediately after its release when several people still thought it was a documentary. I think that helped us enjoy it.
MethDozer · M
@bijouxbroussard First week or two. It was early in it's release.

The thing about the throwing things though is it was at the local art house theater where Rocky Horror played twice a month and reran B and cult films as well. So we were just so used to going there for stuff like that where it was fully tolerated but I guess they weren't as accepting of that during matinee and major releases.
