I Believe Women Should Obey Their Husbands

In the marriage contract obedience is a fundamental aspect of the agreements made and therefore a primary requirement.

The husband's promises are equally binding and any failure brings the contract to its being void!

I think the relationship between a husband and wife is an agreement between them, and is different in every culture. My marriage is based on cooperation not obedience, but then we're a middle class family from America. I don't think anybody should be judged for the way they choose to manage their relationships as long as both partners have and continue to agree on the terms.

I'd prefer more equality in a relationship, let alone marriage, but I can't judge other cultures. If being obedient works for you and it's your free choice to submit, then go for it. :)

@AhBalsic oh don’t let them bug you . In my marriage I do tend to follow my husband’s lead ... because I want to. He doesn’t act unilaterally. I do disagree about some things and he accommodates . But he is my husband , and I love him more than my life and having a wonderful relationship with him
Is paramount ! But ... I manage to get everything I want ( usually his attention) by being an amazing wife ... and respecting his wishes . 😉

Some people do still choose the 'love, honour and obey' version of the wedding vow

@KimberleyAnne Yes I know some people choose to include that. But not at the weddings I've been to, including church weddings.
