What's the most painful injury you've sustained ?

Top | New | Old
A fractured skull in a 70mph car crash - leading to an Diffuse Axonal Injury - 2 weeks in a coma and then the pain started.

Losing someone, nothing more painful than that in my life..
BeachBum · F
Oh yeah and that too.
SW-User
Yea otherwise I had three surgeries
shaelan · 41-45, M
Pedestrian-motor vehicle accident (I the pedestrian). Massive brain injury, 13 years of orthdontic surgeries, and a lifetime in recovery. Perhaps the greatest pain of all was in reflection over how lost childhood memories and changes of priority through my teen years eliminated so many opportunities to learn and grow, or become a more rounded person.

I once broke my leg doing a flip dismount from the rings at the gym. A trainer told me it was a sprain & I walked around on it for 2 days before going to the hospital & finding out that there was a complete break.

Thankfully nothing major. Two second-degree burns. One, the size of a pringle chip - got from sitting but not actually riding a motorcycle. Another, the size of a green bean - from falling off a dirt bike

JarJarBoom · 41-45, F

VaultDweller · 36-40, M
@JarJarBoom: I like a good forearm.
Silverfox420 · 36-40, F
I don't get physically hurt much. Pretty agile. I had two sprained ankles at once one time.
SW-User
Me too. I've only sprained my ankle once
Perforated Viscus.
VaultDweller · 36-40, M
It's a tie between my back injury and busted eardrum.
NotHereForYou · 31-35, F
I accidentally ripped my big toenail off and had to ride the bus for 24hrs with no antibiotics.lol
Twisted anckle. I only wish I have broken it. Twisting it was, according to physiotherapist, more painful than breaking a bone. I couldn't go to work for two weeks, couldn't go on the stairs for the first week. I twisted it to the outside, instead of the foot going to the inside. Yuck yuck yuck. Lesson learned: Watch your step! It was all because of a stupid rock I stepped on that I didn't see...

Easy. Sprained knee. Unbelievably painful. I was up two days straight partying on pot, cocaine and alcohol. After 23 double shots of tequila I was dancing like a lunatic to the song Wish by Nine Inch Nails and snapped the cap off my knee to the side. I fell down, poured myself 2 more double shots, grabbed my pant leg and pulled my leg straight. It snapped back into place. I saw this flash of white light from the agony, then a shrinking black tunnel formed around my vision. I managed not to black out and it swelled up like a balloon almost immediately.
