Did you bring me back any fried chicken from your vacation 👀
Did I ever tell you how much respect I have for the work that you do? Well, for what it’s worth…….
An enormous amount. 🫂

@Unefilletrescurieuse Absolutely, the utmost respect for all the unsung heroes in health services.
To this day I will never forget the nurse who tended to my husband in the ICU until his dying day. When he first got there she told us that she’d treat him like her own brother. Kept her word and beyond, including a “going away party,” playing his favorite Grateful Dead music as he left this world. Lisa L, the impact you’ve made on people’s lives is beyond words. ❤

@OlderSometimesWiser There are some that care from the heart. And others there for their check. Sometimes it is hard to forget the ones that care.
@OlderSometimesWiser I’ve saved several lives before…two were in diabetic coma.
One man had peritonitis and the prior nurse left him complaining of pain. She thought she was going to pass him onto me do I could do the work. This was a very quiet man and he never complained of anything…I knew immediately something was wrong. I made her stay and help out so he could be attended to immediately. I had rank over her. I’m not sure if she was being lazy or if she just didn’t know what to do. Could have been either. Well she learned real fast that day. He should have been taken care of
long before I came on duty. It cost him his life. 😢

That’s what they do when people come to help them out. Even within hospitals I. Your own country, float people keep being moved where needed most and get all the extra assignments as well such as on code team and etc…

😐 can you protest the move? 😳

Nah. There's nothing I can do.

That's rough. Doesn't sound like the place where you work is well-managed.

That would become maddening. Those unrecognized connections are such a big part of how the mechanisms work.
My job was not as heavy as yours, but when I was a caseworker at the Dept. Of Welfare, we had two unions at each other’s throats day in and day out. Clerical and Caseworkers.
