Are QVC and reruns of Murder She Wrote

Seeing as how almost none of our patients have jobs to buy things and about 3 out of 5 have committed murder…I honestly don’t know what the right decision is here 🙃

In the early sixties in Philadelphia we had over a dozen local uhf stations on TV and four national ones, including the three major networks on VHF. The rabbit ears came with the TV. Kids watched a live DJ between cartoons, giving news and weather and commentary just for kids. We chose Wee Willie Webber over the guy on channel 29.
The am radio featured over a dozen live call in local shows! And twenty or more music stations that took requests over the phone. This is utter darkness by comparison.

That like being a when we were kids. We only had had 3 channels NBC, CBS and ABC and that was it. Then came PBS. We thought we were in heaven with a another channel.

And now your complaining. Remember when they didn't have TVs in the hospital rooms, but you could smoke in them.

@HumanEarth Yeah more to do outside than inside. Watching shows in black & white was not all that fun to me.

I remember going to store with different family members and they always had a vacuum tubes with them to test them at the vacuum tube testing machine.

@exchrist Our building is solid concrete and steel and is a hundred years old. Our cell phones barely work in there, much less the TV

@PalteseMalconFunch ok is there a window? Put the antennae outside that might work. I was in an acient building only got 3 to 5 channels abc nbc cbs and wb. inconsistently but free tv is more money for food.
