I loved my career 27 plus years in the Army, I was never meant for a factory with walls or an office. Blown up shot at 12 surgeries lost a few friends I still loved it or the camaraderie of the soldiers and would not trade it or the PTSD from it for anything in the world. Retired medically now.
I own and operate small timber farm while practicing wildlife habitat management upon it as well, and it is part of my personal PTSD therapy.
I would not trade for any other careers.

@WillaKissing It sounds like you are handling it well and I am glad for you. I was in the Airforce, 4yrs. I reenlisted for a year are until the war was over which was supposed to last a month but ended up lasting 6 or 7 months but not complaining by no means. Keep up the good work. 🙂

My Son followed me into the Army, but we lost him to suicide at age 21 before he got out.

@WillaKissing I'm so very sorry for your loss. I lost my brother in May to an overdose.
