JESUS F CHRIST! Why? Why? Why? This stupid and pointless song and dance. Why can't I ask you, as my manager, just fucking ask you to use my PTO and you accept or deny? Why all these needlessly dead trees, pointless back and forth, and useless waisting of everyone's time?

Reminds of applying for college admission, where two departments want you to hand things off to them after receiving approval from the other. Both of the two things can't be done first, one must come second, and why can't they do they handing off? They are literally right next door to each other 🙄

Also, why does HR/finance even need to have any say anyway? They have absolutely nothing to with maintenance dept. ,know what we do, or what we need. If the dept. Manager plays ot, why does it matter to HR/finance how many people are or aren't on? They have zero idea what can and can't or will/won't get done with someone off. Our manager does.
