Had a complete meltdown at work

I went in today even though I was exhausted and mentally drained from an argument with bf last night. First call I got, a pissed off caller. Fine. It happens. Second call, same thing. Okay, I just had to be screamed at, but sure, you scream at me too. I was annoyed but I put up with it. Third call- this caller was LIVID. She screamed at me the entire time, wouldn't let me speak, and kept implying that I was dumb and/or trying to rip her off.

I lost it. Started yelling back at her, til we were both screaming and my coworkers were staring. Finally I hung up on the b*tch. Immediately after, I started crying and shaking uncontrollably. 😭 I took deep breaths, tried to calm down, but couldn't. One of my coworkers stood up and gave me a hug. 🥺 I left early. I'll probably get in trouble but right now I don't even care.
Spiritual dysregulation is not only common, but expected in spiritually wounded people. (I'm a perfect example. I've also read a lot of your posts.) Its effects can be triggered so easily. Especially when the one you're talking to is also dysregulated. The effects are exponential and things can escalate out of control in a heartbeat.

Your feelings and actions are perfectly understandable. I'm so glad one of your coworkers was kind enough to give you a hug.

You're not alone in any of this.
You Are Loved. ❤️ 🫂🫂🫂

When that used to happen to me i would never react. It was just a job, it didn't matter, as long as I got paid.

Sorry you had such a bad day. Since your response to the third caller wasn't typical of your usual behavior, I have a feeling you won't get in too much trouble. Leaving early was the right thing to do under the circumstances.
I'm sure you'll be ok- they'll look at your overall performance. But even if it comes to the worst- you won't be the first and won't be the last to be dismissed because of this.

You don't have the right job for your temperament. You should look for a better one...easier said then done, I know.
