Do you enjoy your job?

Or is it just a means to an end?

I think a majority of ppl don’t like their jobs. At this time I’m considering that this may be a factor that can’t be overcome. We all need money to survive and we all need to work. Add the element of time and it shakes it all up. On top of all that it seems the jobs that most may find enjoyable don’t pay nearly enough as jobs that certainly are not fun….. I guess it comes down to smaller factors and which of those you consider as pros and cons. For example you may have one job that is m-f 9-5 every week. That’s a lot of weekly time to sacrifice however it could give you the opportunity to take you to exotic vacations and give you enough money to maintain your hobby of choice. On the other hand you could have a job that requires you to work on random days of the week. This job could be 4 days a week but in different orders each week. It would definitely keep things interesting. You technically would have more time off to do whatever you choose however considering that it isn’t steady work your paycheck could be lower than the typical m-f job, not to mention the unpredictability may make it hard to schedule appointments etc… People live in either scenario; one man’s trash is another man’s treasure. What matters is what works for you and what you want and need out of life? Also when asking yourself these things consider thinking about whether you’re an introvert or an extrovert? Is your money or your time more valuable?

@MissNoahLenFoxx Abdolutely. It’s all dependant on the individual. I like mine well enough, I’m good at what I do, have good colleagues and decent managers, but the physicality and hours are a lot. Saying that, I wouldn’t want to work less days and have staggered shifts, or night shifts. My social life pretty none existent but I’m more of an introvert anyway. So I guess all in all, it’s good for me.

If you’re not challenged by one concern, you’ll just be challenged by another. Very few ppl get lucky enough to have a good balance of life and work. Maybe even just bright enough to figure that balance out @DHggmu
