Do you enjoy your job?

Or is it just a means to an end?

I work from home, as a technical writer, and a programmer. Although I enjoy both of those activities, I do it because I need some money. I would stop writing user manuals (which nobody reads) if a golden meteorite landed in my garden.

@helenS I suppose doing those things that you do enjoy, every working day, can get tiring.

@DHggmu I would probably go on writing programs just because it's so much fun. I sometimes ask myself why I'm being paid for things I'd be doing anyway (but I won't let my customers know)...

@helenS why would you dislike something that you say you enjoy
DHggmu · 31-35, M
@helenS Yeah exactly, I figure it’s less enjoyable doing it because you have to, rather than doing it because you like to do it. But sounds like you have a good job that fits you.

@Monaschandroff86 I write financial management software for a living, and I think I'd probably focus on other programming projects, as a millionaire.
