Can I brag on my son here??? Yes? OKAY!!!! :D :D :D

He got a massive new promotion. Not QUITE global, but getting there. (Semi global). And he got a big raise. And he adopted a deaf dog and is teaching the dog sign language in his spare time! He has to travel ALL over two continents, and does nothing but meetings, meetings, meetings. (Man, I feel so sorry for him! I always hated meetings!).

Anyway...just be grateful I didn't pull out my wallet and make you look at baby pictures...🤣🤣🤣

Congratulations to both of you.
I know exactly how you feel. A couple of years ago, corporate tapped my daughter to open a couple new branches for them. That has gone very well. I have no doubt that within a few more years, she'll be a regional v.p. Certain kinds of pride are not sinful! 😆

@daydeeo Right you are!!! And as Crush Daddy said, it's great to see our kids grow up and excel!!!

You can get buttons so the dog can speak

@UnderLockDown Wow!!! That is completely amazing! She thought out the concept of tomorrow, which comes after night!!!!! Wow!!!

@UnderLockDown Now that is SUPER amazing!!!!
My oldest is out on his own and on a pretty good path as well. Great to see them succeed at college and their early career. Mine started paying on his student loans recently. So glad we were able to keep that at about the cost of a single semester for him.

@Stillwaiting That's fabulous! AND if he is actually working at a paying job, he is doing better than about 70% of today's college grads.
@4meAndyou Yup .. had three offers and accepted his job before graduation. Working a year and a half now, first couple raises and all. Good luck to you /yours! Harder to do for sure, but there are opportunities out there for those prepared for them.
4meAndyou · F
@Stillwaiting For sure. It's very rare NOW for kids to even KNOW how to work hard, or how to develop the awesome work habits that employers appreciate. I think we were lucky that we passed it on!
Musicman · 61-69, M
That is truly fabulous! We are so happy for the both of you. Of course this all reflects on how well you raised him. 🤗🤗🤗 Now let's see those baby pictures 🙂🙂🙂
4meAndyou · F
@Musicman I didn't raise him all that well. But I DO see myself in him at times. He loves to sit in his 4 season room at the back of his house and watch the birds while he is on zoom meetings and working from home. He is crazy about dogs, just as I was, and loves to rescue them. His dog that just passed away, Tia, was from a puppy farm in North Carolina, and she had been abused. She was terrified of all men...except for my son who was SO gentle with her and so kind.

He loves fantasy and science fiction books, and we have read almost all of the same books.

@4meAndyou He also has your work ethic and is a good person too. Don't sell yourself short mom. 😊💖💖💖
Heartlander · 80-89, M
And of course you get to share and celebrate his success and achievement. Congratulations to the both of you.
4meAndyou · F
@Heartlander Thank you!!!! He took me out for a hamburger...🤣🤣🤣
DrWatson · 70-79, M
@4meAndyou I am very glad to read that!
4meAndyou · F
@DrWatson Awesome, huh? Busy as he is, he still managed to come over here on his week off. ☺️☺️☺️
That’s awesome. It’s so great to see the kids grow up and excel.
4meAndyou · F
@SheCallsMeCrushDaddy Thank you!!! If you could have seen his room when he was a teenager, you would absolutely know why I'm SO tickled...🤣🤣🤣
@4meAndyou I think all of mine suffer from that condition as well. LOL
4meAndyou · F
@SheCallsMeCrushDaddy Well, never fear...it seems that it is a prerequisite for management skills...🤣🤣🤣
Sounds as if he's very successful! I never thought about teaching deaf dogs sign language. That's so cool.
4meAndyou · F
@BizSuitStacy I think it's NOT American sign language, but a series of hand signals such as dog trainers use.
Dogs do very well with sign language. He'll need that dog to combat his new stress level.😆
4meAndyou · F
@UnderLockDown He has a new adopted French bulldog, also, so he will not have ONE moment of dogless stress...🤗🤗🤗
calicuz · 51-55, M
That's awesome. Will his new dog be traveling with him?
4meAndyou · F
@calicuz BIG NOPE. He's having a hard time with her, and has to train her not to jump up on people. Has to get her to focus.
You brag all you want and good for him.

I am sure he would love us seeing pics. 🤣🤣🤣
Nimbus · M
Yay, great news and a fantastic start to 2024.

GLITTER · 36-40, F
That’s amazing news congratulations !!
4meAndyou · F
@GLITTER THANK you!!! Of course, I didn't do squat to make it happen, so I don't know why I'm SO proud of him.☺️☺️☺️ but there ya go! ☺️
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
Wow, that’s fantastic!
4meAndyou · F
@cherokeepatti Yes. it really is! I am so proud of him!!!
