Anybody else wish they could work part time and be able to pay their bills?

I just started a new job, and I'm really wishing I could work part-time. I'm just so tired. I came from a job with a lax attendance policy. I could call out often and not get fired. So, I really haven't been working 40 hours/week in awhile. I'm having a hard time adjusting.

I actually feel like I dont work at all most of the time because I like what I do. I just get frustrated sometimes with the tedious parts but I love to design things and I love that what I design is important for our national defense

so I feel like I work less than part time, I just dont work at all, its like I just join different clubs that are doing things I may or may not be interested in

my work life changed so much after my degree

before being an engineer when I was just a mechanic yea all jobs were basically approached like I just wanted to put in my hours and leave

now its like I want to see the project come together, Im there because I want to be or else I just go to another company

I can relate. I have several chronic illnesses and it makes perfect attendance impossible. I was let go from my last job because I got sick too many times. Well, that's how it will always be with someone who has a CHRONIC ILLNESS. These companies dgaf about human conditions.
