Winnipeg for Work

Does anyone here live in Winnipeg? Any suggestions for fun?

My memory of a visit to Winnipeg, many years ago, is that it is an incredible food town. We visited restaurants of several different cuisines. My favorite was a Caribbean place with fantastic jerk chicken. (Sorry, I could not tell you where it is located, or even whether it is still there.)
@DrWatson Still very much a foodie kind of town.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow I am very glad to hear that!

I went to Winnipeg once...

...at the hotel, they handed me a brochure called "What's happening in Winnipeg".

I opened it, and it was a picture of me checking into the hotel in Winnipeg....😂

There’s a delicious Brazilian meat restaurant called Carnaval I think.
@Canuckle Yep. Not far from The Forkes either.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow yes the Forks is a nice place to tour and walk along the rivers.

Winnipeg and fun don’t belong in the same sentence!!!
@Quimliqer Lived here 20 years and I can't say it is any worse than any other major city. Unlike Toronto or Ottawa a 20 minute commute doesn't take 2 hours in morning rush hour. lol

Really cool Japanese desert shop that does gourmet fancy Japanese Pon De style donuts. Really good and they also sell really good ice cream.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow Where are all the women at? :P
@JimboSaturn Some might already be out at the cottage. This is cottage country for Manitoba too.
Margaret Laurence went to school there, and is from Neepawa...
I do. When are you going to be around?
