I really, really hate that I have to go back to work.

Been on leave for five months because of a family emergency. I really don't want to go back. The thought of having to go back to working 50 hours a week to make a living is just depressing. And my coworkers have really disappointed me. I thought we were real friends. But no, they've made it pretty clear that we're just coworkers. And that hurts cause I don't have any friends.

This is the problem that happened after the quarantine lockdowns and why some businesses have such a problem getting employees that will stay.

@metaldog It’s not easy to juggle a family, a job, take kids to childcare and pick them up, keep up with school activities, etc. It can be exhausting. And when the children are sick you can’t leave them at daycare and you can’t send them to school. If there is no family to depend on and you aren’t making a small fortune with work or can’t work from home then yeah it’s a type of freedom to be able to stay home. Plus if other workers are missing a lot due to illness or family being sick etc. then the ones who show up have to help carry their load.
