I hate capitalist supporters

Hate is a strong word but I can't think of another word that justifies how I feel towards their ignorance and selfishness.

Just curious...you have a better solution to distribution of capital? Government? Committee? Magic beans?
Pmsl 😜

Yeh it's called sharing, something many have forgotten the meaning of
@JovialPlutonian: Okay, share me. How much you have? I need it all. THANKS!
@JovialPlutonian: To be nice about it, I would agree that some aspects of capitalism, namely crony capitalism where government and business get into coercive relationships that are not open to exposure is wrong. 99.99% of the time wrong.

But if you mean simple capitalism, where I have something you want and you're willing to exchange what you have for what I have, then I'll go toe-to-toe with you on why it's the best method of societal interaction.

What passes for "capitalism" today, i.e. the corruptive behavior of Wall Street during the sub-prime meltdown in 2008, or the government "Buy Out" that followed (aka "Too big to fail!") well, I don't think that activity will stand up to the true definition of "capitalism" at all.

So, like so many things in life, define your terms first, then take your stand. And I'll be happy to stand beside you to decry and reject corporate/government manipulation and control of markets for any reason. It's wrong. Always wrong. And jail is the answer.

@O-sure: I think he's trying to refer to unstructured socialism. Which works great in a community of a couple hundred people. But not for tens of millions.
@BlueMetallChick: Ah. As in Hippie Communes of the 60's? Fine when it's for a few months or year maybe, but all those communes found themselves (a) hungry and (b) begging on the streets. And I don't think any of them still exist. That's not because of capitalism, that's because someone has to work, eventually.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@O-sure: It's because that form of economy is supposed to be applied to communities that have a lot of agriculture. When you're able to grow your own food and raise livestock, it works fine. But in city parks and stuff, it does not. Although I think the hippies were mostly just trying to get some publicity so they could voice what problems they felt needed to be addressed.
JovialPlutonian · 36-40, M
@O-sure: communism doesn't mean not to work but more so for others as opposed to ourselves as individuals
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@JovialPlutonian: Communism is a system that works spectacular in small agriculture societies. Villages in Siberia are a perfect example. In huge countries with tens if not hundreds of millions of people and lots of urban development, it does not work at all, because that is not what it is meant to do.
@BlueMetallChick: Perhaps, but the hippies I knew just wanted to do drugs all day and night.

The ones I knew were convinced that the biggest problem they faced was someone trying to stop them from consuming whatever drug substance they thought would provide some thrills. Oh, and sex. Lots of sex.
JovialPlutonian · 36-40, M
@BlueMetallChick: of course but humanity hasn't got past the individual's instinct to survive.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@O-sure: I'm one of those two. I love to trip on hallucinogens. But I hate sex with a violent passion.
Guys guys guys. On paper everything sounds good and workable.. But one key factor never considered is the human condition.. Greed envy sloth etc etc..
(Shit didn't mean to come off all Bible Belt and churchy) but you get my drift..
I can't understand why there isn't more transparency and media coverage to 'keep the bastards honest'? 🤔... Peace
@BlueMetallChick: Hey, not trying to pee in anyone's cornflakes, but while drugs are fun fun fun, eventually you have to work work work. Or someone does. Many of the 60's hippies I've met were living off money they got from their parents. When that ran out, so did the drugs. Reality is a harsh mistress.
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
Not quite everything. Scientology and fascism still look abhorrent even on paper lol
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@O-sure: Oh see that's the difference, I DO work work work. I used to be a touring musician, so the drugs went hand in hand with my job. But then I did a lot of stupid shit and I am no longer a touring musician. I still work though.
@theoneyouwerewarnedabout: BINGO!
The fourth estate has been bought, packaged, and tucked into someone's pocket. And religion, which IS the answer, has been dismissed as irrelevant mumbo jumbo talking about some guy in the sky.
What people fail to grasp is that you can reject God, but the vacuum WILL be filled, every time, with something.
@BlueMetallChick: for them it does..
P.s O-sure is my new fave sweeper.. This has been a entertaining thread 😃
@BlueMetallChick: Now, be honest....Tom Cruise is a hunk. lol
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@O-sure: LOLWUT
@O-sure: yeah. Imagine if the 10 commandments weren't attached to religion then as to say. An idiots guide to being civil in a society... 👍😎
@BlueMetallChick: c'mon. That was fun.. No insults. Some good back and fro.. Quiet refreshing really 👍
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@theoneyouwerewarnedabout: That's a first.
@theoneyouwerewarnedabout: Disagreements are no longer allowed in our institutions of higher learning. So, what's the point of their existence?

I would also point the finger at the universities of this country for fomenting the ideas that are contrary to common decency...like allowing dissension to be expressed and defended without resorting to physical violence.

Oh wait, that's what fascism provides. But I ramble.
@BlueMetallChick: Ah...but who is on second!? ;)
